Hi everyone, I’m considering the Pocket 2 for field use, but I have a few questions regarding its form factor and day-to-day handling.
How does the weight and balance feel during extended use? Is it manageable one handed? Also, what are the physical dimensions and weight specs, and how does the battery hold up during longer jobs in the field?
Hello @TudorU! The Pocket 2 is very lightweight at apps. 780g and compact (124.7 × 38.1 × 30 mm), and the battery is app. 480g, together 1.26kg so it’s well-balanced and easy to operate with one hand for extended periods without fatigue. Its battery provides up to 140 minutes of continuous runtime and recharges in about 73 minutes, making it reliable for field work.
From my experience its very light, comfortable to carry in one hand. It is a bit top heavy, that is because the unit itself is heavier then the battery, but as a sad no problem for one hand use. Its also absolutely no problem to switch hands mid scan. If you have long way to go, just switch hand every few min and you shouldn’t feel a thing.
